Moussa Senge Kyembwa, Lecturer in Agriculture and Land Development, Hanave University
Moussa Senge Kyembwa is a highly experienced government engagement expert and Food Systems Fellow with over a decade of leadership in agricultural development, extension services, and sustainable land management. He holds a strong academic background in Soil Sciences, Environmental Management, and Project Management, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Development Studies.
He has played a key role in the design and implementation of Rwanda’s national agriculture extension programme, Twigire Muhinzi, supporting over 1.5 million farmers through large-scale capacity building initiatives. His expertise spans climate-smart agriculture, public–private partnerships, agricultural policy, and digital innovation, including significant contributions to the Smart Nkunganire System (SNS), a major national input distribution platform.
Moussa has held senior roles with international organisations and government institutions, leading high-impact programmes in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, CGIAR centres, and global development agencies. He is widely recognised for his leadership in stakeholder coordination, training, and advancing sustainable and inclusive agricultural systems in Rwanda and across the region.
